With the Missive app in Make, you can manage the contacts, create posts, drafts, and monitor new comments and messages in your Missive account.

Requirements

To use the Missive app in , you must have a Missive account.

Connect Missive and 

To get started, you must first create a connection between Missive and , allowing the two services to communicate.

To create the connection, you need to:

Obtain your API token in Missive

Before you create the connection in , you should first obtain an API token in your Missive account.

To obtain the API token:

Log in to your Missive account.

In the upper left corner, click your Profile icon > Settings.

In the left sidebar, click API.

Click New token.

Enter a description and click Create.

Copy the API Token value and store it in a safe place.

You'll use this value in the API Token connection field in .

Create the connection in 

Once you have your Missive API token you're ready to create the connection in .

To create the connection:

Log in to your  account, add a Missive module to your , and click Create a connection.

If you add a module with an ​instant​ tag, click ​Create a webhook​​, then ​Create a connection​​.

Optional: In the ​​Connection name​​ field, enter a name for the connection.

In the ​​API Token field, enter the API token you copied from your Missive account.

Click Save.

If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.

You've successfully created the connection and can now use the Missive app in your . If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps here.

Set up a Missive webhook

The Missive app has instant moduleswebhooks that watch for certain changes in Missive and immediately start your  when those changes happen. To use these modules, you must set up the webhook in your Missive account.

To set up the webhook:

Add a Missive instant​ module to your  and click Create a webhook​​.

Optional: Enter a name for the webhook in the ​Webhook name​​ field.

In the ​Connection​​ field, select a connection for the webhook.

If you haven't created a Missive connection yet, refer to the Connect Missive and Make section above.

Click ​Save​ > ​Copy address to clipboard​​. You'll paste this address in your Missive account.

Log in to your Missive account.

In the upper left corner, click your Profile icon > Settings.

In the left sidebar, click Rules.

To create a rule with the webhook URL, click New incoming rule or New action rule, depending on whether you’re using the Watch New Comment or Watch New Message module in .

In the Actions field, select Webhook.

In the URL field, paste the copied webhook URL in step 4.

Click Save.

Your webhook is now set up. When the selected change occurs in Missive,  will immediately be notified and start your .
