The Year in Review: 2021 at Integromat

Gratitude, hope, and a massive sense of accomplishment - that’s how we feel looking back on the year that just passed.

While the bar was high after a successful 2020, playing to our strengths paid off and brought us closer to the vision of democratized automation where everyone can build and create without limits.

If you are tired of repetitive news and want to find out how your favorite automation company has been doing, this post is for you!

Integromat in 2021: The highlights

Like every year, we strive to grow in a sustainable way, and 2021 was not the exception. By the end of December, we saw:

And that’s not all!

As we transitioned to hyper-growth mode, we created new teams, expanded existing ones, consolidated our market position, and received one key recognition for our product and way of doing business.

Seeing such a range of industries is nothing short of encouraging, and serves as an indicator of the value Integromat brings across the board.

As you would expect from the aforementioned data, Integromat users are incredibly varied.

There are solopreneurs who bootstrap projects in record time, rising startups with innovative business models, and leading organizations like Meta, Spotify, Zalando, RE/MAX, Qualtrics, BNY Mellon, and the United Nations that benefit from our unique approach to automation.

Once again, it’s heartening to see that anyone - in disregard of size, industry, country or line of business - can find incredible value in our product and company.

On top of these, we extend our recognition to the three fastest-growing apps of the year by number of scenarios: Notion, Adalo, and HighLevel.

If you use any of these, chances are you can automate a good number of related tasks and processes.

Teams and deals

None of what happened would have been possible without the professionalism and capacity of our new and existing teams.

During the course of 2021, six new teams were created, including:

  • Talent Acquisition
  • Enterprise
  • OEM
  • Customer success
  • IT security
  • Technical writing

In addition, we nearly tripled our headcount - from 63 employees in 2020, to 172 members from 35 nationalities in 2021.

A special shout out goes to the Enterprise and OEM teams, who managed to close lots of exciting new deals in less than 12 months.

Moreover, we weren’t the only ones noticing this incredible effort, which leads us to the next highlight of the season.

A kind of magic

In October, 2021, Gartner included Integromat for the first time in its Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service.

We understand this recognition by Gartner as a powerful validation of the value we are providing to the enterprise integration market by means of:

  • A modern, visual approach to integrations and automation
  • Ease of adoption and quick ROI
  • Enterprise readiness

Our inclusion amongst this elite group of market leaders is a powerful hint that we are going in the right direction, and also an excellent reason to celebrate.

Long time no see: Meeting our partners

After two strange years and difficult circumstances, we were finally able to meet and greet our certified partners at Integrocon, our first on-site, dedicated partner conference.

Aside from having a good time, this was an excellent opportunity to recognize the excellent work our partners do in making automation a reality for so many companies out there.

Of course, no great event that boasts as such can end without proper recognition to those who excel at delivering value on a recurring basis.

Lightyears ahead

Last year, we did a comparative exercise to measure how much manual work Integromat users automated with our platform.

Taking the speed of server operations as the main parameter, we calculated that users were able to automate the equivalent of 197 years of work in 2020.

It was a fun little exercise, and we thought it would be interesting to repeat it and see how many years of work users were able to automate in 2021.

The results were simply staggering: Using the same formula, we found out that Integromat users automated the equivalent of 700 years of work in 2021.

In case you are wondering, that’s a sensational 355% increase on a year-over-year basis. Not too bad, huh?

Final words: The best is yet to come

We can’t help but to feel grateful for what we accomplished in 2021, but it’s time to move forward.

There’s a lot to build, and even more to rebuild, and we’ll be there to help everyone accomplish their goals. Whether old, new, or overdue, this year is all about reaching those goals.

2022 finds us invigorated by the upcoming challenges, and - just like last year - we are ready to make new things happen.

Onwards and upwards!
